DID YOU GET IN FRIDAY?

Word is that those employees supposedly working for Arriva couldn't get in the building Friday, and today who knows what the coming hours hold.  Were you one of the employees that were forced to take the day off?

Here is an excerpt from an article that I just read on wptv.com written by reporter Angela Cruz.  Makes me wonder if I ever worked for Liberty at all...

"Liberty sold its Medicare diabetes business to Coral Springs-based Arriva Medical, under parent company Alere, in 2011.  Harvey said Liberty and Arriva have not reached an agreement on the terms of that option deal, so employees who are working temporarily for Arriva are staying on in an as-needed basis."

LIBERTY FILES CHAPTER 11

WOW!  What a shocker, right?  We all knew it was coming!  Now it is official, Liberty filled for chapter 11 bankruptcy in a court in Wilmington, Delaware today.  What do you think?

I have had the past few weeks to reflect on my time at Liberty Medical Supply due to my unfair termination and the contrived, unethical ways used by management to do this not only to me but countless others.  I could't stop thinking about it.  Why me?  Why us?  And so my brilliant daughter said, "Mom, there are many, many others just like you that would love a forum on which they can vent their feelings.  Why not start a blog?"  And so I have.

I hope that you will share your experiences and feelings here about this corporate giant that was once a shining star in St. Lucie county, a place to put in a hard day's work and be paid well and treated fairly, with management that made you feel valued, but is now a crippled, gnarled ghost of its former self on the brink of bankruptcy.  How has the hostile work environment affected you?  How has the company impacted your life?  How have you been treated by management?  How has the uncertain future of Liberty changed your life?   Feel free to share any and all stories that you can.

In my time at Liberty, I have been lucky enough to make many great friends that I will take with me and for this I am thankful.  I have also seen what greed and corruption can do to a once ethical company and how that greed and the hunger for more money can change everything.
